One Black Sock: Race Reviews

This is about a journey, one I never dreamed I would have to take, one I never dreamed would be so tough. I am a runner, a marathoner, but now I am a recovering runner and I can only dream about running a marathon again. After having a baby in March 2010, I developed a massive DVT due to May Thurners Syndrome. 3 days of surgery to remove the clot, a failed stent, and a miraculous duplicate iliac vein, I am recovering and trying to run. I am the runner with One Black Sock, my compression sock on my left leg that I must wear every day for two years. I only wear the one because there is really no nead to wear one on my right leg and for now, one is enough. This journey has been difficult and I have a lot of recovery left, this is my story.
